If you still have not found a clear answer

Persistent pain deserves a fresh review of your case.

The next step may be to review the diagnosis and strategy, rather than repeat another procedure.

Request a review of my case

Some patients come to us after several consultations, tests or periods of rehabilitation. Others continue to experience pain after a procedure or do not understand why an injury limits their activity so much.

The team’s experience in musculoskeletal pain enables them to review possible causes, the relationship between findings and symptoms, and the rationale for previous treatments.

Not all cases have the same cause or the same solution. The assessment helps determine whether this team and this care pathway are right for you.

Dr. Pablo Martínez and the KLINIK PM team

A shared clinical approach.
A strategy for every patient.

AUREON HEALTH represents an approach to care: relating the diagnosis to function, investigating the origin of pain and making decisions without reducing the case to an image or a technique.

Functional recovery

A team focused on movement

Specialist physiotherapy, biomechanical assessment and rehabilitation relate clinical progress to strength, load tolerance and the demands of each sport. The involvement of each professional is determined by the patient’s needs.

What sets its approach apart

The difference begins before treatment.

Understand before intervening

Imaging is interpreted alongside symptoms, examination findings and function. The priority is to identify which findings explain the problem, not to treat automatically everything that appears on an MRI scan.

Pain is assessed in its own right

Its pattern, relationship to movement and possible underlying mechanisms are assessed. Orthopaedics and pain medicine share a clinical perspective, especially when progress is not as expected.

Preserve with medical judgement

Conservative, interventional, regenerative or surgical options are considered according to the diagnosis. Preservation is a priority when reasonable; it is not a promise that surgery can always be avoided.

Restore and reassess function

Rehabilitation, biomechanics and load management form part of the strategy. The return to training and competition is guided by progress and functional criteria, not just the calendar.

Preserve where reasonable. Intervene when necessary.
Medical indication guides every decision.

Who may benefit

Complex injuries.
Pain that limits you.
An active life to reclaim.

For athletes and active patients who need a more comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment.

  • Sports injuries that persist or recur despite previous treatments.
  • Joint, tendon, muscle or spinal pain that limits an active lifestyle.
  • Symptoms whose relationship to imaging findings is unclear.
  • Persistent musculoskeletal pain after a procedure.
  • Athletes who need a rehabilitation and return-to-activity strategy.
  • Patients wishing to consider alternatives before making a major surgical decision.
The clinical pathway

From your individual case to a coordinated strategy.

The plan is tailored to the diagnosis and how it progresses. No intervention is recommended simply because it is part of the programme.

  1. Confidential medical review

The reason for seeking advice, progress to date, reports and previous treatments are reviewed to assess whether the case is suitable and prepare for the specialist assessment.

  2. Precise diagnosis

The clinical examination is considered alongside imaging and functional assessment. Additional tests are selected when they provide information needed to make a decision.

  3. Personalised strategy

The specialist explains the options, their limitations and reasonable objectives. The plan is not reduced to a single technique or a predetermined intervention.

  4. Treatment when indicated

Options within the available range of care are considered in line with the indication, applicable evidence and relevant requirements. The final decision rests with the responsible professional.

  5. Rehabilitation and reconditioning

Recovery progresses according to the clinical and functional response. Mobility, strength, tolerance to loading and the demands of the activity are reviewed.

  6. Reassessment and continuity

The team assesses progress and agrees the next follow-up appointments, including continuity of care when the patient returns to their city or country.

The care setting

A specialised centre.
An integrated process.

KLINIK PM is a centre specialising in orthopaedics, pain management and sports medicine. It brings together diagnostic imaging, specialist consultations, and resources for treatment and functional rehabilitation.

Its organisation enables assessment, medical decision-making and rehabilitation to be coordinated. The availability of each resource and the location where a procedure is carried out are confirmed in the individual plan.

Preparing the case before travelling.

KLINIK PM’s coordinated pathway can begin with a review of reports, previous investigations and original images. This preparation helps organise the in-person assessment and establish diagnostic objectives.

AUREON HEALTH coordinates access to the team and the organisation of the itinerary. Language support, accommodation and follow-up are agreed according to the needs of the case.

A preliminary plan, not a commitment to undergo a procedure.

The final indication is confirmed after the examination and any necessary investigations. A procedure is not carried out solely because it was considered before travelling.

Before taking the next step

Questions that deserve clear answers.

Can I request an assessment if I have already been treated and am still in pain?

Yes. Previous tests and treatments may be particularly important. The team will assess whether a musculoskeletal, functional and pain reassessment could bring clarity to your case. This does not mean that every patient needs another procedure.

Does every patient receive regenerative medicine?

No. It is one area of the team’s range of care, not an automatic response to every injury. The specialist considers the relevant options and explains their indications, alternatives, risks and limitations.

Can this programme help me avoid an operation?

It may help explore alternatives in certain cases, but it does not guarantee that surgery can be avoided. When surgery is indicated, the decision should be based on the clinical situation and appropriate information for the patient.

Is persistent pain after a procedure assessed?

Yes, when it falls within the team’s musculoskeletal remit. Possible causes need to be investigated and the suitability of the case determined. These symptoms should not all be assumed to have the same cause or treatment.

When will I be able to return to my sport?

This depends on the diagnosis, treatment and how the condition progresses. Return is guided by clinical and functional criteria, with a gradual progression tailored to the demands of your activity; no standard timeframe is offered.

Can the assessment be arranged before I travel?

Reviewing the documentation may help prepare the case and establish a preliminary plan. The definitive recommendation is confirmed following an in-person examination and any necessary tests. The stay and follow-up are agreed individually.
